I may or may not have an entire section of my closet devoted to black dresses. That sentence means I definitely have an entire section of my closet devoted to black dresses.
Now that we’ve cleared that up.
This look is one I recycle CONSTANTLY during this time of year. I dress it up with heels, and down with flats and a straw fedora. You can keep it subtle with delicate gold jewelry, or give it some pop, with bring statement accessories. It’s such a versatile piece, which is always a win for me.
What looks do you tend to recycle?
In other “news”, I had my dilation procedure on Friday! And I’m alive!
Oh my gosh – I was SOOO stressed about it. I didn’t know how long it would take, and had read so many conflicting stories from others about their experience.
Thankfully, it was super quick!
Really. It only took about 15 minutes, if that. It felt a lot like an HSG or Sono, with just a little more intensity when the catheter finally got through my cervix. I think that pain was because my doctor went straight for a larger catheter.
Let me back up a tad, in case you have no idea what I’m talking about!
Basically, we went in on April 24th for our fresh embryo transfer. Come to find out, I have a stenotic (closed) cervix (and it’s tipped. Double whammy). This made my doctor super nervous about proceeding with the transfer because he didn’t want there to be any trauma in there on that important day.
So, we are on track for a FET (frozen embryo transfer), and they scheduled this dilation procedure for me so my cervix would be on board when we try again.
That brings us to today.
I was sore and crampy and SO tired after the procedure. That’s the side effect I get from Valium. I slept a lot of the day, and used my heating pad like a boss.
Now, Monday, I’m back to normal!
The entire thing was much less traumatic than I anticipated, but I really had no other option! I had no idea what to expect, other than what they described, which sounded horrible.
At least it’s over, though!
Now, I can move through this last 4 week stretch without it looming over my head.
Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. I hope you have a lovely start to your week!
